Bothy: Sleeps up to 5 (£10 per day per adult, children free, large groups negotiable)
The bothy has a fully equipped kitchen and is very comfortable, with a large woodburning stove, which also heats the water. There is a bath and an outside toilet. Chris and Anna’s house is a five minute walk away behind the trees and their three-acre organic garden, where they grow and harvest the best quality organic herbs. Organic vegetables, eggs and home-baked wholemeal bread are available and there is the opportunity to catch fish and sometimes lobsters and crabs in creels.
How to get there
Achmore is a five-mile walk from the road end at Badralloch along a path with stunning scenery. Alternatively, access is by boat from Badlurach to Scoraig jetty and a 2 mile walk from there to Achmore. Chris can bring the tractor/pony to carry your belongings.
There are lots of opportunities to view wildlife such as seals, otters and dolphins as well as breathtaking walks along secluded bays and inland lochs.
